A 57-year-old Elizabeth woman was fatally struck while crossing the street on her way home from work in Perth Amboy, authorities said on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024. Gladis Ruiz was hit by a 2010 Hyundai Sonata near Elm Street between Market Street and Riverview Drive at 6:20 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. A Perth Amboy man was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a car, authorities said.
