Man Wanted For Guttenberg Robbery Apprehended In Nebraska: Police
A 46-year-old Staten Island resident was recently apprehended in Nebraska for a violent robbery he committed in Guttenberg in April, authorities said. In April, officers responded to a report of a robbery at 68th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard East where a victim sustained injuries after being dragged by a pickup truck for a Rolex watch, Guttenberg police said in a release. Two Men Shot In Newark: Police
Two men were shot in Newark on the evening of Saturday, July 6, authorities said. At 7:13 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of South 7th Street and located two adult men who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A 31-year-old East Orange woman who was stabbed on July Fourth has died from her injuries, leading to upgraded charges against the accused Newark assailant, police said. A 29-year-old Rockaway resident was arrested for burglary following a foot pursuit in Fairfield on Tuesday, July 2, authorities said. At 9:35 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle burglary at a business on Daniel Road East, Fairfield police said in a release. A 17-year-old was fatally shot in Irvington on the early morning of Wednesday, July 3, authorities said. At 1:26 a.m., police responded to a shooting on the 1100 block of Grove Street and found the teenage boy suffering from gunshot wounds, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Irvington Public Safety Director Tracy Bowers said.
