The fight between a resident's dogs and a raccoon occurred on Deans Lane on Saturday, July 20, according to South Brunswick police. The raccoon was retrieved by animal control and sent for testing.  On Wednesday, July 24, the township's Health Department was notified that the raccoon tested positive for rabies, police said. Raccoon Tests Positives For Rabies: Hunterdon County Department Of Health A raccoon in Hunterdon County tested positive for rabies on Friday, May 17, the Hunterdon County Department of Health. The raccoon was found in Clinton Township in the area of Andreann Drive and Hamden Road, health officials said.
