Arrest Made In Paterson Shooting, Prosecutor Says A 21-year-old Paterson resident was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 25 for shooting a 56-year-old Paterson man in June, authorities said. At 10:51 p.m. on Friday, June 28, Paterson police responded to Mill Street and Market Street and found the victim, who was transported to a nearby hospital, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbass said. Police did not locate any victims, but observed that a vehicle parked in the area and a residential building in the area were both struck by gunfire, Fragé said. At 7:57 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of South 16th Street on a report of a shooting, and found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A handgun was also recovered at the scene, Fragé said. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition, Fragé said. Three suspects were detained in connection with the investigation, Fragé said.
