Three teenagers were in custody after leading Paramus police on a pursuit that ended in a crash just off the Garden State Parkway on Tuesday, Aug. 13, authorities said.
The teen boys, ages 15, 16, and 15 — from Newark, Orange, and Paterson, respectively — were fleeing an Upper Saddle River patrolman in a stolen 2023 Honda Civic southbound on Route 17 around 4:50 a.m., Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

Three teenagers were arrested on this week after stealing a vehicle and leading police on a pursuit last month in Secaucus, authorities said.
On Sunday, June 16, at 4:57 a.m., police spotted a teen breaking into an Audi Q5 and Jeep Wrangler, parked at a residence on the 600 block of 4th Street, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. The teen ran toward an awaiting Kia Sportage, filled with occupants wearing ski masks, and flee the area, Miller said.

Two Jersey City teens were apprehended and one remains at large after being pursued by police while driving a stolen vehicle in Secaucus on the early morning of Monday, July 8, authorities said.
At 2:42 a.m., police spotted a 2018 Jeep Wrangler that had been stolen from Jersey City last month at a gas station on Route 3, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. When police converged on the stolen car, the driver, a 15-year-old, intentionally rammed two occupied Secaucus police vehicles, injuring one officer, Miller said.

Two Newark residents were arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle out of Morris County on Wednesday, May 29, authorities said.
Omar Deas, 25, and Rahmir Singletary, 21, stole the 2012 Audi A5 from Chatham around 4:35 p.m., Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman with the New Jersey State Police said.
The car was spotted in Newark where it was disabled to a prior deployment of a tire deflation device, Lebron said.
