Motorcyclist Critical In Lincoln Tunnel Crash That Completely Shut Roadways In New Jersey
A motorcyclist was hospitalized in critical condition following a crash before dawn on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in the Lincoln Tunnel, authorities said. According to Port Authority spokeswoman Lenis Valens, the motorcyclist crashed around 3:50 a.m. in the center tube's two westbound lanes. The operator was hospitalized in critical condition. A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed and a 49-year-old dirt bike operator was seriously injured in a crash Sunday, Sept. 8 on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River, authorities said. Antonio Caprara, 26, of Beachwood, was heading south on the right shoulder while Lenny Ritorto, of Toms River, was heading south on the acceleration lane from the Exit 81 entrance ramp when the two collided near milepost 81.7 around 1 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Orange Motorcyclist Killed After Being Ejected, Run Over In Route 280 Crash: Police
A 52-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an early-morning crash on Route 280 in Hudson County, police said. Kyle Silas, of Orange, was heading west on a Fly Wing electric motorcycle when he struck a Ford sedan near milepost 16 in Kearny around 4:35 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. Silas was ejected then run over by a Dodge, Lebron said. He died as a result of the accident.

Crash With Fuel Spill Shuts Route 80 In Wayne
A crash and fuel spill closed all lanes of Route 80 in Wayne on Monday afternoon, Aug. 19, according to the NJDOT site. As of 2:22 p.m., all westbound lanes west of Exit 53 were closed. Delays up to 15 minutes were being reported.

New Jersey State Police said the Freightliner collided with a Nissan passenger car, causing the truck to flip just after 5:10 p.m. on the northbound side on the Interchange 15W ramp in Kearny. A passenger car and a dump truck collided on Route 24 in Millburn early Thursday, June 6, authorities said. The Toyota and truck crashed around 6:40 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway, at milepost 6.9, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. The incident closed all lanes just after the accident, but they have since reopened, the NJDOT site shows. No injuries were reported and the crash remains under investigation.
