Juvenile Arrested After Shooting Person In Hip: Bayonne PD A juvenile was arrested for shooting a person in the hip following an altercation in Bayonne on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 22, authorities said. At 7:58 p.m., the juvenile was involved in a verbal disagreement with a person at a house party in the area of W 9th Street, which culminated in the juvenile shooting the victim in the hip, Bayonne police said. At 8:55 p.m., officers received a report of an attempted carjacking at a Springfield Avenue business, Maplewood police said in a release. While a man was placing air in their vehicle's tires, a teenage boy entered the vehicle in an attempt to steal it, police said.
