Trio Including Ex-Track Star Charged In Toms River Drive-By Shooting Involving Kids: Prosecutor Three men are facing attempted murder charges after authorities say they opened fire on a Toms River home with an adult and two children inside. Lyjhahn Cromartie, 19, of Lakehurst, and Shazir Vallade, 20, of Lakewood, were arrested on Feb. 28, 2025, after investigators identified them as suspects in the Jan. 13, shooting, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. 99-Year-Old Driver Killed In Route 37 Crash: Lakehurst PD A 99-year-old Manchester man was killed in a two-car crash on Route 37 on Tuesday, Feb. 4, authorities said. At 10:44 a.m., officers responded to a crash on Route 37 and Brown Avenue in Lakehurst, police said.  A 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, operated by Harry Paulson, was exiting the Sunoco gas station at 200 Route 37 when failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup driven by a 78-year-old South Toms River man, police said.
