He was going for an FBI agent, but while growing up in Rutherford and meeting his friends' parents and coaches who were police officers, he decided to switch gears. Twenty-six years into his law enforcement career, and 11 years in his role as Rutherford Police Chief, Russo has been sworn in to a one-year term as the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police's 109th president. Eight Women, Girls Arrested For Large Fight, Assaulting Atlantic City Officers: Police Four women and four girls were arrested after a large fight in Atlantic City, authorities said. Atlantic City police responded to a large group fighting outside on the 400 block of North Delaware Avenue at around 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, the department said in a news release on Monday, June 10. The group was a mix of adults and children, mostly females. Officers arrested three females during the fight.
