Henry Papaleo, 58, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child less than 13 years of age, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release.

The investigation began in 2023 after the victims reported the assaults to their parents. To protect their identities, additional details about the assaults and Papaleo's access to the children were being withheld, prosecutors said.

Papaleo entered his guilty plea in superior court on Thursday, Nov. 21. The deal called for him to serve 17 years in state prison.

Sentencing was scheduled for Friday, Apr. 4, 2025.
