U.S. Army Vet, Freehold Dad Joseph 'Joey' Black Dies, 30 Shock and sadness spread following the death of Freehold's Joseph "Joey" Black, who passed away on Sunday, Nov. 10 in Jackson, his obituary on the Old Bridge Funeral Home website says. He was 30 years old. Joey proudly served in the US Army from 2014 to 2017, where he was stationed in Korea as a skilled tank operator and member of the Panthers, later receiving an honorable discharge.  After his military service, he worked as a trackman for NJ Path Train Union TWU, known for his dedication and camaraderie. South Jersey Man Charged With Murder In 22-Year-Old's Killing, Prosecutors Say A Vineland man was accused of killing a Whitesboro man in Woodbine, authorities said. Hakeem Denby, 34, was given charges for murder and several weapons offenses, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland said in a news release on Monday, Nov. 4. He was wanted in the shooting death of 22-year-old Daquann Smith. State troopers responded to the 300 block of Madison Avenue at around 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, and Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. The brothers were struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver while riding their bicycles on Aug. 29 in New Jersey. The service began at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  St Mary Magdalen's Church in Media, PA.  Police said that the event will cause major impacts to traffic.

Mom Of 4 Killed In Crash Was EMT, Newly-Promoted NJ Corrections Department Employee Condolences are pouring in for the family of Brandy Woolson, a local first responder and mom of four, whose vehicle was struck by a dump truck that police said failed to yield at a stop sign, as reported by Daily Voice. Woolson, 43, was employed by the NJ Department of Corrections for the past eight years where she held several positions between Bayside and South Woods State Prisons, according to an obituary published by Hoffman Funeral Home.
