The air-cargo parcel was headed from North Carolina to Germany when CBP agriculture specialists opened it on Aug. 18, according to the release. Marked as “4x play toy,” the box instead contained three large live beetles, a container of beetle parts and two shadow boxes used to display insect specimens, CBP said.
