A 14-year-old, a 13-year-old, and two 12-year-old boys were given several charges, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 12. Absecon police received a report of several people trying to break into vehicles in the city at around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. Jose Madera, 33, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 6 to several animal cruelty charges and other offenses, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. A judge had ordered him to remain in jail to await a trial on Tuesday, Mar. 19.
