Drunk Driver Charged After Head-On 2-Car Crash In Mahopac: Police A Connecticut man faces drunk driving charges after being involved in a head-on collision involving two cars in the Hudson Valley, according to authorities. The accident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, March 4, when police in Mahopac responded to the area of Union Valley Road and Shindagen Hill Road for a reported head-on crash.  After arriving, police found a black BMW and a grey Subaru Legacy that both had heavy front-end damage. Car Lands On Roof In Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash A car landed on its roof in a one-vehicle crash in the area.  First responders in Putnam County from the Mahopac Fire Department, EMS, and Carmel Police Department were dispatched to a rollover crash at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, on Union Valley Road in Mahopac. One Hospitalized In Two-Car Mahopac Crash One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-car crash in Mahopac. The crash took place around 9 a.m., Monday, in the area of 668 Union Valley Road, according to Mahopac EMS. Along with units from the Carmel Police Department, a call for a second ambulance from Mahopac Falls was dispatched.  Chief Bill Nikisher arrived on the scene with Mahopac EMS and assumed command as they began a triage of the patients.
