Suspect Apprehended In Cortlandt In Connection To Fatal Hit-Run Crash A Northern Westchester man has been charged in connection to the hit-run Route 9W crash that resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man in the area. The crash happened on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at about 8:20 p.m. in Orange County on Route 9W in the Town of Highlands near the United States Military Academy at West Point. The crash occurred when a tan-colored 1998 Toyota 4-Runner which was being operated by Rene Morataya of Mount Kisco northbound on State Route 9W attempted to make an illegal U-turn into the southbound lanes of travel, according to police. New York State Police investigators in Monroe have issued an alert regarding a wanted man in Orange County on a fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property charge. Kevin Dadaille is wanted following an investigation that determined he stole the wallet of a customer at an area department store. Dadaille allegedly illegally used the stolen credit cards and made charges totaling nearly $4,000. A warrant for Dadaille’s arrest was issued by the Town of Monroe Court. Crysan Garriques, 29, allegedly handed a cashier in Monroe $1,000 in phony $100 bills, police said. When the cashier checked the bills with a counterfeit bill detector pen and discovered the bills were fake, Garriques ran off, leaving behind her purse and ID.
