One Driver Trapped In Head-On Somers Crash A two-vehicle head-on crash trapped the driver of one vehicle in Northern Westchester. The crash took place around 8:17 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, at the intersection of Mahopac Avenue and Route 35 in Somers, said the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. New York State Police troopers on patrol stopped Ossining resident Fausto Tello Cabrera, 30, on Route 35 in Somers when he committed a vehicle and traffic violation in the area on Sunday, Sept. 30. Police said that while speaking with Cabrera, they determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
