23-Year-Old Suspect Quickly Caught After Beacon Purse Snatching Incident Beacon Police quickly arrested a 23-year-old local man after he snatched a woman's purse, according to the Beacon Police Department. Bobby Jones III, of Beacon, was arrested around 10 p.m. Sunday after police responded to Liberty Street for a purse snatching incident, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson. Once on scene, the victim was able to describe the male suspect and responding officers located a Jones who matched the description a short time later.  A show-up was conducted and the victim positively identified Jones, Johnson said. Westchester Man Caught With Pistol, Pot, Cash After Domestic Assault Report A 28-year-old Westchester man is awaiting arraignment after he was found with a loaded handgun and a large amount of cash following a report of a domestic assault in Rockland County.Just after 4 a.m. Sunday, April 1, Ramapo Police officers responded to a report of the alleged assault in the Village of Airmont.  The officers located the suspect walking in the area and during a search of his person, they recovered a loaded .380 caliber pistol, marijuana and a substantial amount of cash, Ramapo Police said.
