This Black Bear Is Everywhere: Multiple Sightings Reported In Northern Westchester A black bear seems to be everywhere in North Salem and Purdys these days from the golf course to an elementary school and a resident's backyard. North Salem Police Chief Thomas Howley said the sightings began on Sunday, May 26, when a black bear was seen at the PQ Golf Club off Bloomer Road.
