Beloved Former Teacher In Northern Westchester Dies A former teacher who worked for schools in both Northern Westchester and Fairfield County has died.  Margaret "Peggy" Beccaria died on Sunday, Jan. 15 at the age of 85, according to her obituary.  A native of New Canaan, Beccaria graduated from high school there before attending college at Western Connecticut State University. Pound Ridge Volunteer Firefighter, Mailman Peter Beccaria, 89 Peter Richard Beccaria, a longtime mailman in Northern Westchester and a volunteer firefighter in Pound Ridge for half a century, died at age 89 in Palm Coast, Florida. He was born on December 27, 1928 in Mount Kisco to Esther and Frank Beccaria. He attended school in Pound Ridge and Katonah and then served four years in the Navy in Korea.
