Sign Damaged At Church In Westchester A church in Westchester was targeted by vandals who damaged a welcome sign. Vandals cracked the welcome sign outside St. John’s Episcopal Church in Pleasantville overnight on Friday, Jan. 17 splitting the sign right across the “J” in John’s. It comes after several other vandalism incidents at houses of worship in Westchester. In the past few weeks, a menorah was toppled at Veteran's Field in Yorktown, and vandals damaged two other churches in the area, as well as at the Yorktown Stage, and library. Town Board Member, Ex-Greenburgh Police Officer Dies At 63 Kevin Morgan, a beloved Greenburgh Town Board member, and retired Greenburgh police detective has died. Morgan, a lifelong resident of Elmsford, died following a short battle with cancer on Thursday, April 4. He was 63. Services Scheduled For Beloved Westchester Pizzeria Owner Killed In Crash Memorial services have been scheduled for the beloved owner of an iconic pizzeria in Westchester who was killed in a crash on I-684 on Saturday. Maria C. Piscopo, age 69, who lived in Brewster, and her late husband, Joseph, took over Johnny's Pizzeria in Mount Vernon from Joseph's father who started the business 76 years ago. The three-vehicle crash occurred around 1 a.m. July 21.
