Man Killed By Falling Tree In Yorktown, Police Say
A man has died after a tree fell on him while he was working in Northern Westchester.
The unidentified 61-year-old was killed around 9 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14, on Farm Walk Road in Yorktown, police said.
When officers and EMS arrived on the scene, they found the man in the backyard of the resident, unconscious not breathing after the tree fell on top of him, according to the Yorktown Police.
Yorktown Police and a Yorktown firefighter began CPR until medics arrived, police said.
The man was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital where he died from his injuries, they added.

Worker From Northern Westchester Dies After Falling From Business Roof
A worker from Westchester died after falling off the roof of a Long Island business, police said.
The incident happened in Suffolk County on Monday, Jan. 18 at around 3:40 p.m.
Hector Aranda-Sanchez, age 27, of Peekskill, an employee of a Yonkers-based roofing company, was on the roof of Four Seasons Sunrooms and Windows, located at 5005 Veterans Memorial Highway in Holbrook, when he fell from the roof, police said.
Aranda-Sanchez was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.
