$132K Project: New Downtown Crosswalks Coming To Peekskill Several new crosswalks will be coming to a downtown area in Northern Westchester as part of a $132,000 project meant to improve safety.  The new pedestrian crosswalks will be coming to downtown Peekskill as part of the city's ongoing $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative, according to New York State Sen. Man Nabbed For Firing Gunshot During Fight In Peekskill: Police A man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident that happened in broad daylight on a Northern Westchester street, police said.  The man's arrest resulted from an incident on Tuesday, Aug. 15 around 3:15 p.m., when Peekskill Police officers responded to the 500 block of Nelson Avenue, where gunshots were reported, according to Lt.
