Road Closure Scheduled For Busy Route 9 Stretch Motorists can expect delays this week for a busy stretch of Route 9 as contracting crews continue overnight construction work in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that north and southbound lanes in Fishkill will be closed from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 to 6 a.m. on Thursday, May 30. During the lane closures, motorists will see delays, and have been advised to seek alternate routes, when possible. With temperatures hovering around freezing, motorists are urged to use caution until the Winter Weather Advisory expires at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 18.
