Details Emerge On Serious Three-Vehicle Crash That Caused Route 9 Closure Details have been released on a three-vehicle crash that caused the closure of a stretch of Route 9 late Sunday afternoon in Poughkeepsie. The crash, reported shortly before 5 p.m. p.m. on the northbound side, occurred at the intersection of Beechwood Avenue. Driver Won't Be Charged In Crash That Killed Mother, Child Near Area Diner A 53-year-old man whose SUV crashed into a mother and her 10-month-old son crossing a street near an area diner will not face any charges in the incident in which the two were killed, according to the New York State Police.
