Mahopac Man Caught With Heroin After Traffic Stop, Sheriff Says A Mahopac man has been charged after he was caught with heroin during a traffic stop, according to the Putnam Sheriff. Officers with the Putnam Sheriff’s Department say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a driver commit a violation in the town of Carmel. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Michael Scauzillo, 51, of Mahopac, had a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of a quantity of heroin, the Sheriff says. Mahopac Man Driving With Suspended License Had Heroin, Sheriff Says A Mahopac man has been charged after police say he was found with heroin when driving with a suspended license. Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) say they observed a driver commit a series of traffic infractions in the Town of Carmel on Tuesday, July 16.
