Alda Haravon, 91, Was Vital Part Of Pleasantville Community For Years It is with both gratitude for a life well-lived and great sadness for our loss that Anita Haravon and the Haravon Collins family announce the death of Alda Haravon. Surrounded by family members, the angels took Alda peacefully on Nov. 10 at Oaknoll Retirement Residence in Iowa City, Iowa. Alda was born on Dec. 4, 1928, in Bucharest, Romania, to Beatrice Berkowitz Saporta and Senor Saporta. Ossining's Barbara Brewster, 98, Former Teachers Union Head, Outdoor, Art Enthusiast Barbara (Murphy) Brewster, a Connecticut native and longtime resident of Ossining, died on March 31 at the age of 98.  Predeceased by her husband Frederick R. Brewster and daughter Susan (Brewster) Eisenmann, she is survived by three daughters, Deborah Ferrenz (husband Mark) of Roslindale, MA; Abigail McGahey (husband David) of Santa Fe, NM and Alison Brewster (husband Ray Henderson) of Nazareth, PA as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A tourist from Australia who has been confirmed to have measles visited hotels in Manhattan and Brooklyn, was part of an Oasis Bible Tour group at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, and visited the Watchtower Educational Center in Putnam County, an Orange County hotel, an Urgent Care Center in Orange County, and Orange Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department between Feb. 16–21, 2018, potentially exposing others to measles,…
