Another one bites the dust. A new Sears location in the Hudson Valley is set to shut its doors amid massive nationwide closures of traditional brick-and-mortar stores. Sears at the Poughkeepsie Galleria will be the latest to close, with signs going up reading “store closing sale,” and “everything must go” throughout the store. Kmart In Yorktown Heights Closing Its Doors
The Kmart in Yorktown Heights in the Yorktown Green Shopping Center is closing its doors in mid-December, according to store officials. "After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Kmart store in Yorktown Heights," said company spokesman Larry Costello. "The liquidation sale is expected to begin in mid-September and the store is planned to close by mid-December. We encourage customers to continue shopping on Kmart.com for all their product needs."
