Police have issued an alert warning of a charity scam involving a phony email sent from fraudsters. An area college student was arrested after chasing his roommate with a knife and threatening to kill him, according to police. Josiah Diaz-Cregan, a freshman at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, was arrested Monday after Hamden Police responded to a report of threatening on campus, said Hamden PD Capt. Ronald Smith. An investigation revealed that the 18-year-old student had a verbal dispute with his roommate, Diaz-Cregan, Smith said. Most Wanted Fugitive In Double-Murder Case Caught In Area
A 54-year-old man named one of U.S. Marshals’ 15 most wanted fugitives was captured 16 years after he allegedly killed his sister and an ex-girlfriend in New York City. Andre Neverson, 54, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 4 after U.S. Marshals and police received information that he was hiding in a house in Bridgeport, authorities said. U.S. Marshals and Bridgeport Police closed in when Neverson was spotted leaving the home.
