Granite Springs Murder-Suicide Involving 40-Year-Old Doctor, Baby Stuns Community A small community in Northern Westchester County is grieving an apparent murder-suicide involving a young doctor who recently moved to town and her baby. An investigation by New York State Police is ongoing after detectives say she killed her infant child and then turned the gun on herself around 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 in the Granite Springs section of the town of Somers.
