Longtime Southern Westchester Boces Employee Dies At Age 47 A longtime tech worker in the Hudson Valley died at the age of 47 at his home. Jamie Brian Paterson of Hyde Park, a lifelong Dutchess County resident, lived in of Hyde Park and was born in Poughkeepsie to Daniel M. Paterson and Linda J. (Steele) Paterson. Paterson graduated from FDR High School in Hyde Park in 1994 and then from Dutchess Community College. He was a longtime employee of Southern Westchester BOCES in Rye Brook where he worked in their IT department as a systems engineer, according to his obituary. Dean's List College Student From Hudson Valley Found Dead In Dorm Room A college student from the Hudson Valley has died at age 20. Dutchess County resident Cory Gallinger, of Salt Point, a junior at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, was found unresponsive in his dorm room on Sunday, March 21, according to college officials. The cause of death has not been released. On Monday, March 22, a vigil was held outside a chapel on campus, with approximately 1,000 attending, according to Syracuse.com. Joseph Eckhard Of Hyde Park Dies At 46 Joseph Michael Eckhard Sr., a lifelong resident of Hyde Park, died at home on Sunday, Jan. 21. He was 46. He was born Jan. 6, 1972, graduated FDR High School in 1991, and then BOCES Tech for Mechanics. Joey had a love for the fast life of cars, motorcycles, quads and snowmobiles. He spent many days in his garage surrounded by friends wrenching on their “Toys.” He also enjoyed watching movies, swimming and building things with his children.
