Serious Crash Causes I-84 Closure A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13. Connecticut State Police said the crash led to a large fuel spill.  Eastbound traffic is being detoured to local streets at Exit 11. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes if possible. ID Released For Man Killed In Crash On Taconic State Parkway In Yorktown The motorist who was killed Friday morning in a crash on the Taconic State Parkway near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border has been identified by state police from the Hawthorne barracks. The single-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound Taconic just north of Exit 11 (Route 134) in Yorktown at approximately 8 a.m. The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was 54-year-old Darsin Sandro of Long Island City. Sandro's vehicle exited the roadway onto the center median, and struck a tree, state police said. Sandro was transported by EMS professionals to Weschester Medical Center where…
