Cold Spring Man, 27, Charged In Beacon Armed Robbery Beacon police nabbed a 27-year-old man for an attempted armed robbery, according to the Beacon Police Department. Kenneth R. Place, of Cold Springs, was arrested around 10 a.m. Tuesday when the City of Beacon Police were called to 426 Main Street for a reported robbery with a gun, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson. The victim along with other witnesses were interviewed and Place was still on scene.
