Concrete Truck Destroys Bridge In Hudson Valley A wooden bridge in the Hudson Valley is no more after it was shattered by a concrete truck. The crash happened in Ulster County Thursday, June 2, in Marbletown, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said a concrete truck was driving east on County Route 6 at around noon when it struck a bridge near the Gate House at Mohonk Mountain. The impact caused the bridge to completely collapse onto the road below, police said. Nobody was injured in the crash. Tragic Mianus Bridge Collapse Along I-95 Marks 35th Anniversary On this day in 1983, a part of the Mianus River Bridge collapsed.  Three people were killed and three others were seriously injured.  At about 1:30 a.m., on June 28, 1983, a 100-foot span of Interstate 95 in Greenwich collapsed into the Mianus River in one of the most infamous American bridge disasters of the 20th century.  A car and two tractor-trailers careened over the edge of I-95.
