New York’s COVID-19 mask mandate has been extended, even as the state is in court to determine its legality in certain settings. The mandate, which had been set to expire on Tuesday, Feb. 1, has been extended through Thursday, Feb. 10, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced. Hudson Valley Woman Convicted Of Killing Boyfriend Has Sentenced Reduced
A Hudson Valley woman convicted of murdering her boyfriend and father of her children will not spend the rest of her life behind bars after seeing her sentence reduced following an appeal. Last year, Dutchess County resident Nicole Addimando, now 32, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced to a term of 19 years to life in prison after being found guilty of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting of her former boyfriend, Christopher Grover. Judge's 'Racist' Words Cut 10 Years Off Area's Man Prison Sentence
An area man had 10 years shaved off his prison sentence after a panel of appeals judges ruled against the presiding judge for making racists comments during sentencing.
