Saccomanno is competing on the reality show to win a $250,000 WWE contract and realize her dream of becoming a professional wrestler.
On Tuesday's episode, Saccomanno, a Yorktown High School graduate, was sent to the "Bottom Three" by judge Daniel Bryan, a WWE superstar, after she clashed with female contestants and finished last in several competitions. Viewers vote for which "Bottom Three" contestant they want to keep each week.
But The Miz, a WWE superstar and judge, used his judge's save to spare Saccomanno from elimination. Judges are allowed one save per season.
"I think that a WWE diva has a look and they have a fiery side, they have a connection with the WWE audience, so I'm saving Amanda," The Miz said.
Paige, a WWE diva and the third judge, who had been critical of Amanda in the past, flipped out over Miz's save.
"Are you kidding me?" Paige yelled. "You're an idiot."
After Miz's save, voting totals showed Saccomanno would've been eliminated by a wide margin.
"WWE Tough Enough" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on USA Network.
