This year the Huskers are off to a good start, at 5-2 after a 9-7 win Thursday at John Jay of Cross River.

The team's two losses so far have come to longtime Long Island rival Ward Melville and Connecticut powerhouse Darien.

Yorktown coach Dave Marr, in his 14th season as head coach, is looking for the team to once again go far into the post-season. The Huskers are always hoping to add to their seven state titles.
