The weekly honor recognizes students in Westchester and Putnam for their athletic, academic and other achievements.
Captain of his basketball team and a member of Stepinac’s national honors society program, the star athlete and academic achiever has averaged more than 27 points per game in the first five games of the season to a 4-1 record and has garnered an athletic scholarship offer from the New York Institute of Technology.
Guerra is the second Stepinac senior in the current school year to have earned the award, joining quarterback Brandon Coleman of Yonkers who helped lead his Crusaders football team to an undefeated 12-0 and Catholic High School Football League AAA championship season.
