Yorktown Schools Get Bright For Red Ribbon Week

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Schools throughout Yorktown are encouraging students to make healthy choices during Red Ribbon Week.

Milfred E. Strang Middle School students made a banner stating "“Life Is All About Making Choices – Make the Right Ones!" on Monday. On Tuesday, students dressed as their favorite superheroes. 

Yorktown High School students visited Brookside Elementary School on Wednesday to read stories and coordinate art projects centered around the encouragement of healthy eating on Wednesday. 

“We can set an example to the little ones,” said Yorktown High junior Keiyana Grant, who read to a second grade class.
