“It’s been quite a journey but we’re all ready to graduate,” said student speaker Tatianna Singh at the graduation at Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES.
Teachers cheered for the students, who praised the school's teachers in their speeches.
“Fourteen years ago my son and I walked through the front doors of Walden and that was the start of our journey," said Michelle Yorio, mother of graduate Dean Yorio in her parent address. We have met some of the most truly amazing, caring and hardworking teachers and staff. People who truly love what they do. This isn’t just a job to them.”

“Look around at the expressions of joy you have brought to the faces of so many people," said keynote speaker Fred Santoli, former principal of Fox Meadow and current coordinator of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. “Your teachers have given you new ways to express what you feel."
