To the editor:

It made headlines that Supervisor Michael Grace entered into negotiations with Yorktown's tax collector to finally start paying thousands of dollars he owes in long past due property taxes.

That’s just in time for Grace’s 2017 re-election bid.

It’s reminiscent of Grace’s 2015 re-election bid when he owed thousands in past due property taxes and also made promises to pay.

When did paying your taxes become newsworthy? That's a sad commentary on how low the bar has been set for Yorktown's Town Board.
