Yorktown Resident Charged With Interfering In Police Investigation

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown man is facing charges after he interfered with officers investigating a domestic dispute, police said.

Yorktown Police said they have arrested a 20-year-old local man on charges of interfering with an investigation of a reported fight at his Longvue Street home.

Connor M. Sweeney, 20, was arrested on Saturday, March 26, at his home on Longvue Street after someone at the home called police to report a fight.

Police said Sweeney interfered with the investigation by threatening members of his family and by refusing to comply with the officers’ directions.

He was taken to police headquarters, arraigned, then released, police said.

He is to appear in court to answer the charges on Tuesday, April 12, police said.
