Ozar Khan, 28, allegedly broke into a home on Deer Street at approximately 12:23 a.m. Khan was confronted by the homeowner who unsuccessfully attempted to restrain the suspect, police said.
Khan allegedly fled the scene, but was later questioned by authorities who were searching the neighborhood, police said.
Khan was subsequently arrested and charged with forcibly entering a home with the intent to steal money. He was remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail or $25,000 bond. Khan is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court on Oct. 6, police said.
