Yorktown Man Charged As Fugitive From Justice In Florida Meth Case

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Yorktown man wanted for manufacturing and trafficking methamphetamine in Florida has been captured by New York State Police at Cortlandt.

Carl A. Rosa, 65, was located on Jan. 2, in Yorktown after the Volusia County Sheriff’s Department in Florida requested the State Police's assistance. Rosa was wanted in Volusia County for Conspiracy Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Trafficking in Methamphetamine, both Florida State statutes, the State Police said.

Rosa was located at a Yorktown business where he was employed following the joint investigation, police said.

He was arraigned before the Mount Kisco Justice Court by the Hon. Mark Farrell and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. He is currently awaiting extradition to Florida.
