Yorktown Man Arrested For Drinking In Public

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown man was arrested for drinking alcohol in a public place while officers were making a check of buildings in town, according to the Yorktown Police.

Yorktown Police arrested Sidney Russ, 44, of Yorktown for public consumption of an alcoholic beverage.

Police said they arrested Sidney Russ, 44, on Monday, Jan. 25, after officers found him inside a building on Commerce Street, drinking alcohol in public.

Russ was arrested at the scene and later released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 9, police said.
