YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A section of Mosemean Road in Yorktown has been temporarily closed on Tuesday morning after a salt truck tipped over into a small ditch on the side of the roadway.
Officials confirmed that a Yorktown Highway Department salt truck slid off Moseman Road on Tuesday morning, where it landed on its side near a mound of snow. Crews from the Yorktown Heights Fire and Police Departments responded to the scene, closing down the roadway between Maxwell Drive and the town line at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Emergency personnel remained on the scene as they awaited a tow truck. The cause of the crash has not been released, and no injuries have been immediately reported.
