Teen Due In Court After Incident At CVS Parking Lot In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested an 18-year-old Yorktown resident, whose name is being withheld due to her eligibility for youthful offender status, for a forged driver’s license and possession of marijuana.

The arrest stems from an incident that took place at the CVS parking lot at 2000 Commerce St., police report.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 8:08 p.m. Jan. 13 for two subjects who were arguing, according to officials.

An investigation revealed that there was a dispute, and that the defendant was in possession of a forged New Jersey State driver’s license and 1.9 grams of marijuana, police report.

The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing; she was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument third degree, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, according to police.

After processing, the defendant was released on her own recognizance to a parent, officials report.

She is due back in Yorktown Court on Thursday, Feb. 11, police report.
