Shrub Oak Woman Charged With Attempted Assault

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – A Shrub Oak woman was arrested on Thursday and accused of attempting to assault another woman at her apartment, according to a press release from the Yorktown Police Department.

Sarah E. Barr, 25, of Spring Valley Road, was accused of trying to hit a woman with a broken picture frame, police said.

Barr was arrested on misdemeanor third-degree attempted assault, and released without bail, according to police.

A Yorktown judge issued a temporary order of protection for the victim, court records show.

Barr’s next scheduled appearance is Tuesday, June 16, in Yorktown Justice Court, police said.
