Poughkeepsie Resident Charged With DWI In Yorktown

Police responded to a single-vehicle accident in the area of 2000 Saw Mill River Road at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, according to officials.

While conducting an investigation at the scene, it was alleged that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Joseph P. Cinquegrana, had been driving while intoxicated, police report.

It was alleged that Cinquegrana had been operating the vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, had failed to keep the vehicle within the traffic lane and had driven on the sidewalk, officials report.

Cinquegrana was processed at Yorktown police headquarters. He was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, both unclassified misdemeanors, along with failure to use the designated lane and driving on the sidewalk, both traffic infractions, according to police.

Cinquegrana was released on his own recognizance to a responsible party, police report.

He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Jan. 5, according to officials.
