A man from Ossining was allegedly caught with cocaine after he was pulled over for a vehicle violation in Yorktown, police say.
A Yorktown Police officer was patrolling the area of Spring Valley Road and Blinn Road around 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 when he observed a vehicle that had a brake light out and an obstructed view.
He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Andrew Epstein, 24, of Ossining. Further investigation revealed that Epstein allegedly had a quantity of cocaine in his possession.
Epstein was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, as well as traffic infractions for having a brake light out and an obstructed view.
Epstein was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, April 16.
