Police received a call from a resident of the complex reporting a female operating a gray SUV erratically on Saturday, March 26, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officials report.
An officer was dispatched to the scene and stopped the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of Kenneth Stuart Place.
While the officer was attempting to conduct an investigation, Varone allegedly interfered and attempted to leave the scene, police report.
Further investigation revealed that Varone allegedly operated the vehicle while intoxicated, and that her New York State driver’s license was suspended, officials report.
Varone was arrested at the scene and transported to Police Headquarters, according to officials.
She has been charged with multiple offenses, including: obstructing governmental administration, a class A misdemeanor; driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor; aggravated driving while intoxicated, an enhanced misdemeanor; and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a class E felony, police report.
Following processing, Varone was issued a traffic summons in reference to the vehicle and traffic law charges, arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $7,500 bail, police report.
She is scheduled to answer the charges in Yorktown Court on Thursday, March 31, according to officials.
